気になっていた大型コンポストボックスにようやく挑戦。田舎の広い庭を活かしてゆったり目に作りました。ハードウッド (ウリン) を選択。重さと固さに作業中泣かされました。蓋は丁番式で開閉ラク。雨水が直接入らないように傾斜つけてます。塗料は食品衛生法適合品。子供がなめても大丈夫なものに統一。家族にも好評で作って良かった。
Steps
庭の置き場所を採寸して必要サイズを決定。生ごみ量に対して少し大きめに。
板材を必要寸法にカット。空気が通るよう板の隙間を 10mm 開ける設計。
支柱を立てて壁を組み立て。底はメッシュにして地面と接続させる構造。
蓋を丁番で取り付け、雨水が入らないように傾斜を付けました。
屋外なのでキシラデコール塗布。発酵熱でも持つよう厚塗りしました。
完成。生ごみ投入してから 3 ヶ月で良質な堆肥になり、庭で重宝してます。
