気になっていたガーデンベンチにようやく挑戦。屋外用なのでキシラデコール 3 度塗り。1 年経ちますが色褪せ最小限。ホームセンター店員さんに相談しながら進めたのが良かった。
Steps
現地でメジャーを当てて、家具との干渉が出ない最大寸法を確定。木取り図を 1 枚にまとめてからホームセンターへ。
材料 1 本ずつにカット位置を罫書き。スコヤを当てて鉛筆で直角線を引きます。
ゼットソーの替刃で手鋸カット。電動と違って騒音気にせず夜でも作業できるのが地味に便利。
切断面と表面を 240 番までサンドペーパーで研磨。角は鉋で軽く面取り。
下穴ドリル 2.5mm + 皿取り兼用ビットで一発開け。木口の割れリスクを最小化。
ボンド + ビスで本体フレームを組み上げ。コーナークランプで直角を維持しながら締め込み。
ブライワックスのジャコビーンを布で擦り込み。1 時間置いてからウエスで磨くと自然な艶が出ます。
